Since 2021, the City of Apalachicola has supported the Moving Education Institute’s six-week summer program by providing free space in city-owned buildings and other vital in-kind resources. This partnership reflects the City’s strong commitment to youth development, arts education, and community well-being, enabling MEI to create transformative, liberatory spaces for Apalachicola’s youth.

Near Futures Projects partners with Moving Education Institute, Inc. to promote equitable food access and community resilience. Aligning with MEI’s embodied, place-based learning, they co-develop a food program teaching youth and adults to grow, harvest, and cook food, addressing local food insecurity while honoring community knowledge and fostering nourishment and liberation.
CareerSource Gulf Coast’s Summer Youth Employment Program, funded by TANF, offers eligible youth summer job opportunities to gain work experience, develop job skills, and explore careers. Participants work with local employers like Moving Education Institute, Inc., earning income as Interns in Community Moving Education while learning digital literacy, workplace readiness, and personal responsibility. The program empowers youth for long-term success and strengthens communities.
The FSU Panama City ASCENT Program, a 10-year, $23M initiative partly funded by Triumph Gulf Coast, Inc., boosts Northwest Florida's workforce in cybersecurity and new technologies by providing education and training for industry certifications, aiding students and professionals in job attainment and career advancement.
